Palmyra duo sent to Strong after serious crash; Fairport driver who caused accident didn’t have valid license

The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office investigated a two-vehicle crash on State Route 21 in the Town of Palmyra on Saturday.

Linda Howard, of Fairport was traveling south on Route 21 when she missed a turn for Bear Hill Drive.

Deputies say that’s when Howard turned into oncoming traffic, and struck a motorcyclist who was traveling in the opposite direction.

John Hart and Kimberly Casillo, both Palmyra residents, were on the motorcycle at the time of the crash.

Deputies say Hart suffered head and chest injuries. He was airlifted to Strong Memorial Hospital. Casillo was transported by ambulance to Strong Memorial Hospital.

Both vehicles had to be towed from the scene.

Howard was cited for not having a valid driver’s license, and for failing to use a turn signal.
