Felony drug charges filed after 2017 incident in Wayne County

The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of a Williamson man following an investigation into drug sales in Wayne County.

Lee Shorter Jr., 47, of Williamson is accused of selling cocaine in 2017; and was subsequently charged with one count of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance; and one count of third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance.

Both are felony charges.

Shorter was arraigned on Thursday and will answer the charges at a later date in Williamson Town Court.
