LETTER: Family thanks community after losing son in April

As many of you know, we lost our beautiful son Ryan Hunter Sibley on April 23, 2019.

The feeling of losing a child is indescribable. If we have to lose a child, we are grateful to live in this community. Thousands of you have come alongside us and just plain loved us for lack of a better way to say it. We are truly humbled and amazed by your love! You have showed up in droves and hugged us, held us, and cried with us. You have fed us over and over again and cleaned up after us. You have financially blessed us and sent us beautiful flowers and plants. You have made donations in Ryan’s name, and honored our son in doing so. Ryan was a beautiful soul and he was someone who was very good at loving people. We as a family feel Ryan in how you have loved us because you have loved us perfectly, and abundantly, over and over again, and you continue to do so. To our community, we want to say we love you and thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

A special thank you to: Paul McPherson and Covert Funeral Home, South Seneca Central School, Falcon Gold Wrestling Club, VFW (Ovid), American Legion (Ovid), Lodi Fire Department, AJ’s Diner, Seneca County Sheriff’s Department, US Naval Sea Cadets Corps-Rochester CA 124 Division, Fire Police (Traffic Control for Funeral), Seneca Community Church-Pastor Dave, Marty Brewer (For Donated Porta Potty), Friendly Ford (For Watching Our House During Services), All Emergency Workers on Scene (04/23/19), Willard Correctional Facility Family, Seneca County Highway Department Family, and all the Town Highway Departments.
