Auburn’s Bluefield Manor is seeking an extension on a soon-expiring tax agreement in hopes of avoiding a sudden increase in tax payments that officials say could make the retirement community unaffordable for residents.
Representatives from the nonprofit met with the Auburn Industrial Development Agency Monday to discuss the possibility of an extension to a 20-year payment in lieu of taxes (PILOT) program currently set to expire in 2021.
