Yankees lose again as Chapman takes loss

Aroldis Chapman became an unwilling participant in a pair of career milestones for Tigers rookie outfielder Dustin Peterson, who ripped a go-ahead double for his first Major League hit and RBI off the Yankees closer in the top of the ninth inning, lifting Detroit to a 3-1 victory on Tuesday evening at Yankee Stadium.

Making his third appearance of the season, Chapman entered with the score tied and issued a one-out walk to pinch-hitter Niko Goodrum, who scored all the way from first base as Peterson connected with Chapman’s 95 mph fastball and sent it over Mike Tauchman’s head in left field.
