Officials say a Toronto-based company is set to purchase Phelps Sungas, Inc.
The agreement that’s been entered into will serve as an acquisition, according to reports. The propane distribution assets of Phelps Sungas will be part of the deal.
While the purchase is expected to close this summer, it’s not clear if this will have an impact on any local operations or jobs.
Phelps Sungas, Inc. Is an independent propane marketer, which has operated in New York since 1939.
Superior Plus Corporation, the Toronto-based company is expected to add approximately 8,600 residential and commercial customers, and 8.5 million gallons of retail propane sales to their operations in the U.S.
