The Ontario County Humane Society will be the topic of a Tuesday meeting at the Sons of Italy lodge.
The meeting, which starts at 6:30 p.m., is being organized by Geneva resident and animal activist Nina Nigro. The public is invited.
“This is for people who have concerns and grievances with the Ontario County Humane Society over the years,” Nigro said.
Nigro said she and another local animal activist, Sara Britting, will be among the speakers. Nigro said the meeting could include testimonials from others.
The humane society has come under fire recently for issues including shelter space, volunteers, investigations into animal hoarding cases, and public education. Last month, two society officials — director Bill McGuigan and shelter manager Linda Albanese — resigned.
