No one hurt in Palmyra house fire

Firefighters say no one was hurt in a house fire in Wayne County early Saturday morning.

Fire crews responded to a house fire on North Creek Road in Palmyra just after 5 a.m.

The homeowners were home at the time, and were able to make it out safely.



The fire was contained to an upstairs bedroom. Crews were able to knock down the flames quickly.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Red Cross is assisting the homeowners.

East Palmyra and Port Gibson fire departments responded to the scene.
