Williamson man charged with rape, forcible touching after investigation

A Wayne County man is being held on $10,000 bail after multiple charges were filed against him – including rape, forcible touching, and endangering the welfare of a child.

Michael Yonker, 37, of Williamson was arrested after it was reported to deputies that he was having an inappropriate relationship with a 14-year-old girl.

It is alleged that Yonker started an online relationship with the teen, and convinced her to allow him into her home located in Lyons.

Yonker was charged with first- and second-degree rape, forcible touching, and endangering the welfare of a child.

He was arraigned and remanded to the Wayne County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail. A stay away order of protection was issued on behalf of the victim.
