Investigators say that the man, whose name was not released Wednesday, was walking along the north side of the road pushing a bicycle when he was struck by a vehicle driven by a 25-year-old Ithaca woman who was also traveling north.

The Ithaca woman who struck the man stopped immediately and is cooperating with investigators.

Police say the man was walking on the roadway, inside the line, and not along the shoulder. The roadway is not lit in the area, and he was wearing dark clothes.
