A film premiering at the Sundance Film Festival tonight will have a familiar backdrop. "The Tomorrow Man" starring John Lithgow and Blythe Danner was filmed all around Rochester.
It turned into an opportunity Jean Dlugosh of Macedon never imagined.
"They were looking for someone to stand-in for this movie with Blythe Danner,” she said. "I said, 'Sure why not?' I had no idea what I was getting myself into at all,” she said.
Dlugosh also had a chance to appear on screen herself.
"I was an extra in a coffee shop scene, and then when we were in Lyons I did a walk-by in front of the camera,” she said.
Perhaps the most thrilling part was meeting the stars. She spent most daily meals on set with Danner.
"She was really, really nice to me and really down to earth,” she said. "She was always worried when we were having a meal that I wasn't getting enough to eat and asked If I wanted a take-home container."
