Newark boys varsity basketball outscored Batavia 36-20 in the second half to record a road victory against a fellow B1 classification Section V school, 56-50, on Wednesday night.
Jayden Peters led the Reds with 24 points and 7 rebounds. Fellow senior Mason VanDemortel finished with 14 points and junior Devin Agosto scored 12.
Batavia was led by Zack Gilebarto who finished with 21 points on 7 three pointers.
