An Albany man pleaded guilty to distributing crack cocaine after federal investigators documented eight drug sales between March and August 2025, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Northern District of New York.
Kymere Thomas, 28, entered his plea Oct. 5 before U.S. District Judge Anthony Brindisi. Prosecutors said the eight transactions involved more than 50 grams of cocaine and more than 580 grams of crack cocaine.
In one transaction, Thomas sold 292 grams of crack for more than $11,000, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office. Investigators found another 650 grams of cocaine and 15 grams of crack when they searched his residence.
Thomas was arrested in September 2025 and remained on pretrial release until his plea, when he was remanded to custody. He faces a mandatory minimum of 10 years in prison and at least five years of supervised release; a judge will determine his sentence.
Sentencing is scheduled for Jan. 27, 2027. The FBI investigated the case, and Assistant U.S. Attorney Nicholas Walter prosecuted it as part of a federal Homeland Security Task Force initiative.
