State Route 15 will be reduced to one lane in each direction near its bridge over the New York State Thruway in Henrietta beginning at 7 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 13, for bridge maintenance.
The New York State Department of Transportation advisory says the restrictions in Monroe County are expected to remain until 4 p.m. Monday, Oct. 19. The agency warned drivers to expect delays and use an alternate route if needed; it did not specify a detour.
The schedule depends on weather and could change. DOT did not detail the bridge work beyond describing it as maintenance.
DOT urged drivers to slow down in the work zone. Fines for speeding in a work zone are doubled, and two or more work-zone speeding convictions could result in a driver's license suspension.
Drivers can check current travel conditions through 511NY, its mobile app or by calling 511.
