A Buffalo man has been sentenced to 10 years in federal prison after his conviction for possessing methamphetamine with intent to distribute it, federal prosecutors said Monday.
Julius Hatten, 36, was sentenced by U.S. District Judge Richard Arcara after being convicted of possessing with intent to distribute at least five grams of methamphetamine, according to the U.S. attorney's office in Western New York.
Investigators searched a home on Eckhert Street in Buffalo, Hatten and his vehicle on Sept. 25, 2025, prosecutors said.
They seized quantities of methamphetamine, cocaine and fentanyl, along with ammunition, drug paraphernalia and $21,740 in cash, according to the release. Prosecutors did not specify the amount of each drug seized.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Matt Kass prosecuted the case. The Buffalo Police Department, Erie County Sheriff's Office and FBI investigated, the release said.
