An East Bloomfield man was charged with first-degree criminal contempt Saturday after deputies said he threatened violence against a person protected by an order of protection.
The Ontario County Sheriff's Office identified the man as Skyler Moroney, 29, and said its investigation found he had made threats of physical violence against the protected person.
Deputies arrested Moroney on Saturday and took him to the Ontario County Jail for centralized arraignment court, according to the sheriff's release.
He was released to pretrial services and is scheduled to appear in East Bloomfield Town Court at a later date. The release did not provide a court date.
