A flapjack breakfast at the First Baptist Church of Penfield on Saturday, Oct. 17, will raise money for the Penfield Ecumenical Food Shelf.
The breakfast will run from 8 to 10 a.m. at the church, 1862 Penfield Road, according to an event flyer forwarded to the newsroom. Admission is $10 per person and $5 for children. Donations will also be accepted.
The menu includes pancakes with pure maple syrup, scrambled eggs, sausage, fruit topping, whipped cream and coffee. Sugar-free syrup will be available. The church says the venue is accessible to people with disabilities.
All proceeds from the October breakfast will go directly to the food shelf, the flyer says. The organization provides emergency food assistance to people in the 14625 and 14526 ZIP codes and families of students in the Penfield School District.
