Finger Lakes Community College will host a workshop Oct. 2 on using artificial intelligence to turn plain-English ideas into computer programs. The three-hour “Vibe Coding” session is open to beginners and does not require a paid AI subscription.
The workshop runs from 9 a.m. to noon at FLCC's main campus, 3325 Marvin Sands Drive in Canandaigua. Registration is required at flcc.edu/events, and the fee is $99.
Participants will learn to use AI to write code and leave with a finished product, according to the college. No prior coding experience is necessary.
The session is one of five FLCC workshops scheduled through January. The college has more information about its AI programming at flcc.edu/ai and takes questions at ai@flcc.edu.
