Ontario County's two election commissioners will explain how ballots are prepared, tested, counted and reported during a public forum Oct. 13 in Geneva.
The League of Women Voters of Geneva will host commissioners A.J. Magnan and Adeline Rudolph at 7 p.m. in the Reading Room at Geneva Public Library. The program is open to people seeking more information about voting procedures and election safeguards.
Magnan and Rudolph are expected to discuss voting methods and the proper way to mark a ballot. They will also outline the steps the Ontario County Board of Elections takes before and after voting, including preparation, testing, tabulation and the reporting of results.
The forum will also cover how voters can make a plan to cast their ballots, find reliable information and understand their rights at polling places.
The League said both commissioners will take questions about the voting process and the measures used to promote accurate results.
