The investigation began after officers were called to Liberty Street at about 1:20 p.m. Sept. 4. Police said the group fled after taking the man’s property.

Officers located four juvenile suspects at a West William Street residence and recovered the stolen property, according to the department. The four were initially detained and released to their guardians while the investigation continued.

The two 15-year-olds were issued Family Court appearance tickets. The 17-year-old received an appearance ticket for the Youth Part of County Court.

All three are expected to appear with their guardians at later dates. Police did not release additional information because of their ages.
