A dog was rescued from a West Morris Street home Sept. 10 as Bath police executed a search warrant during an animal cruelty investigation.
Robert P. Tobias, 66, of Bath, was charged with failure to provide sustenance under state Agriculture and Markets Law, police said.
Police said the arrest followed a several-week investigation into allegations that the dog wasn’t receiving necessary sustenance.
Tobias was taken to the Steuben County Jail for centralized arraignment and later released.
The dog was turned over to an animal care facility. The Finger Lakes SPCA assisted with the investigation.
