The New York Civil Liberties Union has sued federal agents and two county sheriffs over a September 2025 immigration raid at a Cato factory, according to Spectrum News 1.
The lawsuit represents four people detained during the raid and alleges unlawful seizures, questioning and deportations.
Federal agents detained 57 people at Nutrition Bar Confectioners, including plaintiff Pedro Rojas, a U.S. citizen.
The Department of Homeland Security said agents had a criminal search warrant and denied that the operation was unlawful.
Another plaintiff, Hediberto Ramirez Perez, remains in Guatemala, separated from his wife and two children in the United States, his attorney said.
