Cornell women’s volleyball closed out the Binghamton Invitational on a high note Saturday, overcoming Temple in five sets before sweeping New Haven to finish the weekend with two victories and improve to 3-3 on the season.
The Big Red opened the day by rallying past Temple, 22-25, 25-14, 21-25, 25-21, 15-11. Cornell twice erased one-set deficits, taking control in the fourth set before pulling away in the deciding frame.
Mackenzie Parsons and Jaida Sione each recorded 13 kills, while Parsons hit .344 and added six digs and three blocks. Ava Bogan contributed 11 kills and a match-high 12 blocks, and Ellery Williamson posted nine kills and a team-high 13 digs. Mary Wolcott finished with 48 assists, while Sarita Pomar led Cornell with 19 digs.
After falling behind 2-1, Cornell dominated the fourth set and carried that momentum into the fifth. The Big Red built an early 4-1 advantage in the deciding set and never surrendered the lead, eventually closing out the match at 15-11.
Cornell then completed the tournament with a 25-20, 25-20, 25-23 sweep of New Haven.
Parsons led the way again with 12 kills while hitting .400, while Sione added 11 kills at a .455 clip. Williamson had nine kills and seven digs, Wolcott recorded 27 assists and Pomar added 13 digs.
Cornell controlled the net throughout the second match, finishing with nine blocks while holding New Haven to a .107 hitting percentage. The Big Red also recorded seven service aces.
Bogan and Pomar were named to the Binghamton Invitational All-Tournament Team.

Cornell returns to action next weekend in Michigan, where it will face Eastern Michigan and Michigan.
