The Sodus Community Library will host local writer David Englert for its Books Sandwiched In program Tuesday, Sept. 15.
The event will begin with a noon luncheon provided by the Friends of the Sodus Community Library, followed by Englert's presentation at 12:30 p.m. that day.
Englert will share some of his completed work and lead a discussion about the importance of stories and storytelling in the 21st century.
The writer began creating stories in second grade and has continued studying the art and craft of storytelling, according to the event announcement.
The Friends of the Sodus Community Library are hosting the program. Organizers describe it as an afternoon of conversation and reflection about the stories people tell and why they tell them.
