An Ithaca man was arrested on felony drug and evidence-tampering charges following a traffic stop in the town of Cayuta, according to the Schuyler County Sheriff’s Office.
Edward J. Sanchez Barrera, 27, was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and tampering with physical evidence after deputies stopped a vehicle on State Route 13 on Aug. 1.
Sanchez Barrera was arraigned in Schuyler County centralized arraignment court and released.
He is scheduled to appear in Cayuta Town Court at a later date.
