New York State Fair Director Julie Lafave said this year’s fair finished with strong attendance despite weather-related closures, according to Spectrum News 1.
Flooding forced a temporary shutdown one day, followed by an early closing that evening because of storms.
Lafave said organizers will use surveys and discussions with partners to review new restrictions on parking and vehicles during operating hours.
Plans for 2027 include a new milk bar offering all three flavors throughout the fair’s 13 days.
The Asian and Latino villages will also get permanent homes, with the Asian Village moving behind the transportation worker memorial.
