Farmington man charged after elderly man attacked in Canandaigua apartment

A Farmington man faces felony burglary and assault charges after Canandaigua police said he forced his way into an elderly man's apartment and attacked him Sept. 3.

The victim, who is older than 65, suffered injuries to his face, head and neck and was taken to Thompson Hospital for further evaluation, according to police.

Police arrested 33-year-old Corey A. Boor and charged him with second-degree burglary, second-degree assault, second-degree obstruction of governmental administration and third-degree criminal tampering.

After the arrest, Boor refused to be processed, repeatedly spit in the back of a patrol vehicle and forced himself to vomit, police alleged.

Police said that conduct led to the obstruction and criminal tampering charges.

Boor was taken to the Ontario County Jail for arraignment.
