Keuka College is emphasizing the academic, advising and career resources available to students enrolled in its online and hybrid programs as more working adults balance college with jobs, families and other responsibilities.
The college offers undergraduate and graduate online programs in management, nursing, social work and education, with support ranging from faculty advising and tutoring to financial aid counseling and career development.
Keuka said its online programs are designed around small classes and cohort-based learning, allowing students to work with many of the same professors and classmates across multiple courses. The college said that structure is intended to help students build relationships and maintain a stronger sense of connection while completing coursework remotely.
Online students are also assigned a dedicated support specialist who can assist with transfer credits, financial aid requirements, course scheduling and connecting students with other campus services.
Academic support is available through the college’s Academic Success Center at no additional cost. Services include writing assistance, subject tutoring, study-skills support and help with online learning tools such as Moodle and file management.
The center also provides workshops and self-guided resources covering topics including APA style, time management, plagiarism prevention and study habits.
Career support continues beyond the classroom. Keuka’s career development staff can help online students explore career paths, prepare resumes and cover letters, practice for interviews and search for employment or graduate programs.
Students can also use KC Career Connections to find jobs, volunteer opportunities and Field Period experiences, according to the college.
Additional services available to online students include a financial aid counselor designated for online programs, accessibility accommodations, teletherapy and emergency support through the Health & Counseling Center, IT assistance and access to Lightner Library’s digital resources.
Keuka College, founded in 1890, said the goal is to give online students flexibility without separating them from the advising and support services available to students studying on campus.
