A Geneva woman was charged with trespassing Sunday after investigators said she remained at a Walmart where she had previously been barred from the property.
Shayla Monique Sapp, 32, was arrested at about 9:11 a.m. at the Geneva Walmart at 990 Routes 5 and 20 in the town of Geneva, according to a press release.
The release alleges Sapp entered and remained on the property unlawfully after Walmart barred her from all of its properties on March 8.
That restriction remains in effect until Walmart personnel formally rescind it, the release said, and Sapp was still at the store when law enforcement arrived.
Sapp was released with an appearance ticket directing her to answer the charge in Geneva Town Court. Deputy M. Turnbull investigated the case with assistance from Trooper Medina.
