Two people were taken to Strong Memorial Hospital after a two-vehicle crash Thursday morning in the town of Marion, according to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies said a 16-year-old driver was traveling south on Cory Corners Road and failed to stop before entering the intersection with Walworth-Marion Road at about 10:04 a.m. Sept. 3.
The teen’s vehicle collided with a westbound vehicle driven by Heather Duffy of Marion, and both vehicles came to rest on the south side of Walworth-Marion Road, the Sheriff’s Office said.
The teen driver and passenger Louis Hasler reported chest pain and were taken by Wayne County EMS ambulance to Strong Memorial Hospital.
The Marion Fire Department provided traffic control until PJ’s Radiator Towing and Wayne County Towing removed the vehicles.
Deputies issued the teen driver a citation.
