A Clyde woman was jailed pending arraignment after deputies said she struck a 9-year-old child and pushed a 12-year-old during a domestic incident in the town of Galen.
The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office said Kathryn J. Betts, 66, of Old Route 31, was arrested at about 6 p.m. Sept. 3.
Deputies alleged Betts struck the 9-year-old in the presence of an 11-year-old, violating an order of protection that required her to refrain from certain conduct.
Betts was charged with second-degree criminal contempt, three counts of endangering the welfare of a child and two counts of second-degree harassment, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
She was taken to the Wayne County Jail to await centralized arraignment court at 7 a.m. Sept. 4.
