Firefighters from three departments battled a house fire in the village of Victor early Thursday after flames spread through an attached garage and threatened a neighboring home.
The Victor Fire Department was dispatched around midnight with mutual aid from the Bushnell’s Basin Fire Department and Farmington Volunteer Fire Association. Firefighters arrived to find the attached garage and east side of the house in flames, with the fire beginning to spread toward the neighboring property.
Crews were able to prevent the fire from extending into the neighboring home and brought the main fire under control using multiple hand lines, a master stream and a ground monitor, according to the Victor Fire Department.
The department did not immediately provide information about injuries, the extent of damage to the home or what may have caused the fire.
