The Seneca County Sheriff's Office will auction two pieces of Bobcat construction equipment in Romulus on Monday, Sept. 14, under an execution against property issued by state Supreme Court in Tompkins County.
The sale is scheduled for 10 a.m. at the Seneca County Law Enforcement Center, 6150 State Route 96. The property was seized from Mainstay Builders LLC under court index numbers EF2022-0205 and EF2025-1018, according to the notice of sale.
The auction includes a Bobcat E63 mini-excavator with serial number B34R11230 and a 2012 Bobcat T650 with serial number A3P013425. The sheriff's office said it is selling the company's right, title and interest in the equipment.
Both items will be sold subject to any existing liens, chattel mortgages, conditional sales agreements or other encumbrances. Prospective buyers would be responsible for determining whether any such claims affect the equipment.
The property will be sold “as is, where is,” and the sheriff will make no guarantees about its condition, usefulness, value, marketability, safety or workmanship. The notice also states that the sheriff's responsibility for towing, storage and other charges connected to the levy and sale ends when the equipment is sold.
The winning buyer must arrange to remove the property on the day of the auction. Any towing, storage or related expenses that accrue after the sale will become the purchaser's responsibility.
A deposit equal to 10% of the purchase price must be paid in cash to the sheriff at the time and place of the sale. The remaining balance must also be paid in cash by 3 p.m. that day at the Seneca County Sheriff's Civil Office inside the law enforcement center.
The sale notice was issued under the direction of the Seneca County sheriff as part of the property execution from Tompkins County Supreme Court. The sheriff's office posted the complete notice and terms on its website.
