SENECA FALLS — A Geneva man faces four misdemeanor charges after deputies said he prevented a woman from leaving and contacting emergency services during a domestic incident in a vehicle.
The Seneca County Sheriff's Office said deputies arrested 59-year-old Willie H. Spann around 5:39 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 29, in the town of Seneca Falls.
Spann was charged with second-degree unlawful imprisonment, third-degree menacing, fourth-degree criminal mischief and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.
Deputies alleged Spann threatened to physically injure the woman during a verbal altercation and stopped her from leaving the scene or seeking emergency help.
The sheriff's office said deputies found suspected crack cocaine while taking Spann into custody.
Spann was taken to the Seneca County Correctional Facility to await arraignment.
