Federal investigators seized seven handguns, suspected cocaine and more than $272,000 during searches of a Buffalo restaurant and a Lancaster home, prosecutors said Monday.
Steven S. Butler, 42, of Buffalo, was charged with being a felon in possession of a firearm and possession with intent to distribute cocaine. He was detained following an initial appearance in federal court.
According to a criminal complaint, investigators searched Ike and BG's on Genesee Street in Buffalo on Aug. 24 and recovered suspected cocaine, drug paraphernalia and about $169,553. A search the next day at Butler's Lancaster residence and vehicle yielded seven handguns and about $102,506, prosecutors said.
The FBI Safe Streets Task Force and Buffalo Police Department investigated the case. The charges are accusations, and Butler is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
