Ontario County sheriff's deputies reported two crashes over the weekend, including an alleged alcohol-related rollover in Bristol that left a vehicle on its roof and a two-car collision in Manchester that sent both drivers to a hospital as a precaution.
The Bristol crash happened around 1:43 a.m. Sunday near 7039 County Road 32, while the Manchester collision was reported around 7:26 a.m. Friday at County Roads 13 and 19, according to separate sheriff's office releases.
Driver charged after Bristol rollover
Deputies said a vehicle left County Road 32, rolled down a steep embankment and came to rest on its roof. The driver, 45-year-old Landen K. Collins of Canandaigua, was able to get out with help from Bristol Fire Department personnel and was not injured.
Deputies said Collins showed signs of intoxication during their investigation and was determined to be intoxicated. He was charged with driving while intoxicated, aggravated driving while intoxicated and failure to keep right, then released with an appearance ticket for Bristol Town Court at a later date.
Failure to yield cited in Manchester crash
In Manchester, deputies said 46-year-old Anna M. Valentin of Canandaigua stopped at the stop sign on County Road 19 but entered the intersection without yielding to traffic with the right of way.
Her 2024 Kia Forte collided with a 2021 Ford Escape driven by 81-year-old John G. Allen of Clifton Springs, who was traveling through the intersection with the right of way, according to the sheriff's office.
Both drivers said they were not injured but were taken to Clifton Springs Hospital as a precaution. Valentin was cited for failure to yield the right of way.
