The Finger Lakes Community College women’s volleyball team continued its strong start to the 2026 season Tuesday, opening conference play with a straight-set victory over Onondaga Community College.
The Lakers received contributions throughout the lineup, with sophomore Allyson St. Germain leading the way offensively. St. Germain recorded a team-high 12 kills while hitting .231 and added five digs and four service aces. Her all-around performance gave her a team-best 16 points.
Freshman Kamryn Eastman remained one of Finger Lakes’ most efficient offensive weapons. She finished with 10 kills on 18 attempts, posting an impressive .389 hitting percentage while also contributing a block assist.
Jessie Powers, who has made an immediate impact during her first collegiate season, added nine kills and continued to make her presence felt defensively with 10 digs.
Sophomore Olivia Scheuer directed the Lakers’ attack from the setter position, finishing with 29 assists and three kills. Keira Dickens provided another steady performance in the back row, recording 10 digs and one service ace.
Finger Lakes also controlled the action at the net. Ava Van Antwerp finished with two solo blocks and one block assist, while Eastman and Powers each added a block assist as the Lakers kept Onondaga from finding a consistent offensive rhythm.
The victory adds another strong result to a promising opening stretch for Finger Lakes as the Lakers continue their pursuit of another Region III title.
Finger Lakes will return to Onondaga Community College this weekend for a Region III Pod. The Lakers are scheduled to face both Onondaga Community College and Cayuga Community College as they continue conference and regional competition.
