The New York Teamsters have endorsed Rep. Nick Langworthy for reelection to Congress, his campaign announced Thursday.
The labor organization included Langworthy in a bipartisan slate of New York congressional endorsements, citing his positions on economic opportunity, good-paying jobs and workers, according to the campaign.
The Teamsters represent more than 1.3 million workers across transportation, logistics, manufacturing, construction, public services and other industries nationwide.
Langworthy said the endorsement was meaningful because Teamsters members help move goods, build communities, manufacture products and keep the economy operating. He said his work in Washington has focused on good-paying careers and a strong middle class.
The endorsement was announced by Langworthy’s reelection campaign in a paid political communication dated Aug. 27.
