A 24-year-old Newark motorcyclist died Saturday after a collision with a pickup truck at County House and Bauer roads in Seneca Falls, police said.
The Town of Seneca Falls Police Department said Maxwell Roeland was traveling west on County House Road around 1:24 p.m. when an eastbound pickup driven by 34-year-old Ian Clancy of Waterloo turned left onto Bauer Road and collided with the motorcycle.
Roeland was ejected from the motorcycle and suffered serious injuries. North Seneca Ambulance took him to a local hospital, where he later died, police said.
Clancy sustained minor injuries and did not require hospital transport.
Seneca Falls police said the investigation remains ongoing. The Seneca County Sheriff's Office, Seneca Falls Fire Department and several good Samaritans also assisted at the scene.
