A Butler man and woman were charged with criminal contempt after Wayne County deputies said they found each person was subject to an active stay-away order protecting the other.
The Wayne County Sheriff's Office identified those arrested as 29-year-old Cody Calabrese and 32-year-old Courtney Calabrese, both of South Butler Conquest Road.
Deputies said they discovered the mutual orders while responding to an assist-to-citizen complaint on South Butler Conquest Road on Thursday evening.
Both were charged with two counts of second-degree criminal contempt for allegedly violating the orders. They were taken to the Wayne County Sheriff's Office for processing and to await centralized arraignment proceedings scheduled for Friday morning.
