Yankowski started from the pole, but Jimmy Phelps used the outside lane to take the lead on Lap 2. Payne moved around Phelps on Lap 11 and controlled much of the race, briefly losing the lead after a Lap 18 caution before regaining it on Lap 23.

The final caution came with 11 laps remaining after Tim Sears Jr. stopped on the track. Phelps took the lead from Payne on the restart, but Payne built momentum on the outside while Yankowski advanced along the bottom.

Payne and Yankowski split Phelps entering Turn 3 on Lap 52. Yankowski made contact with Phelps exiting Turn 4 to take second, then drove past Payne through Turns 3 and 4 on the following circuit.

Yankowski stayed ahead over the final seven laps. He credited patience and guidance from crew chief Kevin Bates for helping him wait for the inside lane to develop.

Payne finished second after leading the most laps for the second consecutive night. Brewerton regular Ronnie Davis III climbed from 19th to third, while Phelps finished fourth and Williamson placed fifth.

After two SummerFAST races, Yankowski led the standings with 302 points. Lehner was 11 points back, followed by Phelps at 15 points behind, Felix Roy at 23 points behind and Matt Sheppard at 29 points behind.
