Cornell University and Ithaca College students are returning to campus this week, bringing traffic and parking changes around Ithaca, according to 14850. Ithaca College early arrivals begin Monday, while Cornell first-year and transfer students arrive Monday and Tuesday.
Ithaca College first-year and transfer students are scheduled to arrive Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Cornell returning students are expected Friday and Saturday.
Drivers are advised to expect extra traffic near South Aurora Street, Danby Road, Hudson Street, Coddington Road, Stewart Avenue, Mitchell Street, Pleasant Grove Road and Triphammer Road.
The Stewart Avenue Bridge remains closed through the fall, and East Buffalo Street remains closed between downtown and Collegetown.
