A Penn Yan woman was arrested after police said a domestic dispute escalated into unwanted physical contact in front of a child.
Samantha A. Mayhew, 38, was charged with endangering the welfare of a child and second-degree harassment following the incident, according to the Penn Yan Police Department.
Police said Mayhew and a man were involved in a verbal altercation before she allegedly made unwanted physical contact with him.
A child was present during the dispute, police said.
Mayhew was released on an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in Penn Yan Village Court at a later date.
