Ithaca man charged after narcotics search, police say

Ithaca man charged after narcotics search, police say

Ithaca police arrested a 48-year-old city resident early Saturday after officers said he fled during the execution of a narcotics search warrant and was found with cocaine and fentanyl.

Michael Grubb was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a Class B felony; fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a Class C felony; and obstructing governmental administration, a Class A misdemeanor.

Police said officers executed the warrant at about 2 a.m. in the area of East Seneca and Tioga streets. Grubb was taken into custody after a short foot pursuit, according to the department.

Officers said Grubb had about 35 grams of cocaine and 6 grams of fentanyl. He was being held pending arraignment.
