A 74-year-old Wolcott man was arrested after Wayne County sheriff's deputies said he obstructed another person's breathing during a domestic incident witnessed by a child younger than 17.
Terry C. Valentine of Wall Street Road was charged with criminal obstruction of breathing, second-degree harassment and endangering the welfare of a child following the Aug. 9 investigation, according to the Sheriff's Office.
Deputies said the incident was reported on Wall Street in the town of Wolcott shortly before 4:30 p.m. They alleged Valentine physically obstructed the other person's breathing in the child's direct view.
Valentine was taken to the Wayne County Jail for processing and held pending centralized arraignment court on Aug. 10, deputies said.
