Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills’ healthy starters are expected to play Saturday against the Carolina Panthers, giving first-year coach Joe Brady an early opportunity to evaluate his team in game conditions and continue its adjustment to the new Highmark Stadium.
Brady said Thursday the Bills have “a new everything,” making the preseason opener particularly valuable for a team that has undergone significant changes. The defense is transitioning to a 3-4 scheme under first-year coordinator Jim Leonhard and is expected to feature at least five new starters.
Brady said a final decision on playing time will come after practice, but Allen is in line to return to preseason action for the first time since August 10, 2024. He sat out all three preseason games last year.
Kickoff for Saturday’s game between the Bills and Panthers is slated for 1 p.m.
