A 23-year-old woman was killed early Wednesday after her vehicle left Route 104A and struck a utility pole in the town of Wolcott, according to New York State Police.
Troopers responded around 1:59 a.m. Aug. 12 to the reported one-vehicle crash.
Police said they found a 2007 Chevrolet that had left the roadway and hit a utility pole.
The impact caused extensive damage, and the vehicle was separated into multiple sections, according to State Police.
The driver was the only person in the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Her identity was not released in the initial announcement.
The Wayne County Coroner’s Office responded to the scene.
State Police said the crash remains under investigation.
