A Hannibal man faces felony assault and weapons charges after New York State Police said he intentionally struck a pedestrian with a vehicle on Rathburn Road in Oswego County.
Anthony L. Feliciano, 31, was arrested at his home Aug. 7 following an investigation into the July 23 collision. Police said a 38-year-old Hannibal man suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
Troopers from the Fulton barracks responded around 10:45 p.m. to Rathburn Road between Country Lane and Junior Avenue in the town of Hannibal. Investigators later identified and recovered the vehicle involved, which police allege Feliciano had tried to conceal.
Feliciano was charged with second-degree assault and third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, both Class D felonies.
State Police also applied for a temporary extreme risk protection order, which Oswego County Supreme Court granted. While serving the order, troopers said they developed probable cause for an additional charge of first-degree failure to safely store rifles, shotguns and firearms, a Class A misdemeanor.
Feliciano was arraigned in Oswego County CAP Court and sent to the Oswego County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash bail, a $10,000 partially secured bond or a $50,000 bond.
Police said the investigation remains ongoing.
