The Wayne County Fair opens Monday in Palmyra for its 169th year with seven days of agriculture, entertainment and family activities, according to the Finger Lakes Times.
The fair runs Aug. 10-16 at the Wayne County Fairgrounds on West Jackson Street.
Events include livestock exhibitions, educational displays, carnival rides, live entertainment, demolition derbies, contests, vendors and children’s activities.
Monday’s Salute to America Day will include opening ceremonies and 250 complimentary cupcakes marking the nation’s 250th anniversary.
Parking is free throughout the week, with additional overflow parking and shuttle service available Thursday through Saturday evenings.
