Sodus Point crews are performing drainage work on Lake Road this week, village officials said.
Lake Road will remain open during the improvements, but drivers are being urged to use caution through the construction zone and follow posted signs.
The village said residents may want to consider alternate routes to avoid possible delays while the work is underway.
